I had to give them some thought.
I came to the opinion that, since they are grandfathering in current smokers, I think this is quite fair.
The idea of requiring a smoker to have a smoking area within their home is, in my mind, more of an invasion of privacy. That would be like telling me I could only read in one area, or fall asleep only in bed.
They talk about the soft market....for many people, having the opportunity to buy a smoke free condo in a smoke free building would be a real bonus, not a negative at all. All other amenities being equal, I would personally pick the smoke free building. In fact, I'd chose it because of that reason even if it were, oh.....let's say up to $10K more. Depending on if it had other fabulous features, maybe even more.
It depends on how it's marketed....it's exclusive, higher value.
