I love shows like The Daily Show and like "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!" which airs on NPR stations (and which can be listened to online).

I just ran into a British TV show which blends the two as well. It's called "Have I got News For You"

This Hour Has Twenty-Two Minutes and Royal Canadian Air Farce do that sort of topical political humor. Both programs are so popular that Canadian politicians are eager to appear on them, even when they are being used as a punching bag by the cast.
