Christmas Angels

We got hammered today, and my Gramma lives across our little village.

There is over a foot of heavy wet snow on the ground, and I did well to clean a path to the truck, and make it to the grocery to get parts for Christmas Dinner. Grammas drive had to wait for tomorrow...

On to my story before everyone leaves.

Gramma calls to tell me that I can go ahead and come get her for church in the morning. She has been worried all week she was not gonna get to church, cause she has all her christmas cards for various members, and if she doesn't get there......

Some lady pulls up to the street in front just after dark as the wind died, and rings the bell. (Gramma lives on a vicious hill. Even the mailman parks at the bottom, and walks the block)

She asks if Gram wants her drive shovelled....(Gram is 87, and still sharp)
Gram says, sure....has the storm really ended?

Lady says, yes, I just got out, can we shovel for you...
Gram says, sure, how much.....
Lady says, what you can spare...
Gram says.... I paid 25 last time....
Lady....Ok

Gram expected a guy to climb out, but no....
Lady and little boy cleaned drive, walk, and around to trash container.....
Gram gave her twice the cash, and went back inside.

Nobody else on the block heard a knock, and no other drives were shoveled...

Anybody else see a Christmas Angel this year?

Maybe ... but it'll melt before that happens. I'm'a travel a couple hours tomorrow in search of snow. But I'm gonna ski it, not shovel it.
