Oh great, now I get to look forward to being haunted by the fireplace channel when I finally do reach menopause!
We women just can't win, can we? <sigh>
Thank you Region :-D
<clink>
I've got a fabulous fireplace.. no, not my own. I don't use my own, have a fireplace-sized cabinet smack dab in front of it, 'nother story.
Back if I can nab a photo or link. It's in Robert Winter's (architectural historian) craftsman house, fireplace being faced with really serious tiles.
This drives me nutso...
I've tried to save this article before and run into trouble. Had a friend send me an email copy. Right there mid article is a photo of this fireplace.
Huh... I can't find it on google, or by querying the LA Times site. Or looking up the author..

INNER LIFE
Set in stone & tile
For decades, historian Robert Winter has preserved a 1909 bungalow in Pasadena that resonates with timeless beauty.

Meantime, I have the photo in my own photo file, but not in a way that I can see how to link to it..
So it goes.
That's ok Osso. It's the thought that counts ;-)
I forgot about the beer
Who's got the beer?

Anyone got a fireplace I can put the tree next too?
Hey Intrepid, check that out! Thanks for the fireplace and for moving that fridge for me ;-)
The lamp looks so much better on the fireplace :-D
This pic that JPB posted actually
is my screensaver! It has a very realistic crackling fireplace sound, and the flames move and everything.
If ya can't have the real thing, get a good screensaver!
I've got the fireplace channel and the electric wood stove (that doesn't sound right) going and fireplace screen saver just may be a bit overwhelming!
Then there's the fireplace thread
Do you ever feel like the fireplaces are closing in?
Montana, if the fireplace gets too fiery, jump in the hot tub!
Oh, how cool is that!!! Thanks a lot caribou ;-)
<Montana climbs in tub. Ahhhhhh>

It's Friday night and they're probably out getting drunk first. Maybe they'll be over later.
Wanna test the water? ;-)
Yes, that's it, Tico. Thanks!
So, how's everybody doin? You all ready for Christmas or whatever you celebrate?
I'm ready :-D
Back on that fireplace. I somewhat like the lines of the whole thing, and the decorative aspects, although they're a tad florid re tile choices, but certainly not the opening to the outside being so close to my left of the fireplace.
Given that the opening to the outside would move, I might change the fireplace lines.
Re Christmas, I may be sick (cachoo, coocoocachoo) or this may be allergy.
If not sick, things are worked out. If sick, I'll just whine on a2k, virusing up my keyboard.
where's the stringed popcorn
Is that a real tree? If yes, I bet it smells wonderful in there.
