actually they were pigeons... "city" pigeons... and they weren't flying... they were just... pecking at the ground in a haphazard manner that suggested they are both bored and exquisitely unintelligent...

Watching a flock of city pigeons is about as exciting as watching a flock of barnyard hens.

City pigeons are smart enough to spot my freshly scrubbed car, and deface it within ten minutes of emergence from the wash bay....

George, I knew that, I feared angering the poor upside down bunny, what with her keyboard situation and all.

Do they run to third when they hit in Oz?

Witnessed the flight of an osprey many years ago when I was sailing off the coast of Maine. I was awestruck. And to this day I remember what I said: "Wow, dem boids is big."

I saw a documentary on the attempt in Scotland to reintroduce their osprey.

When the first bird was released, a local farmer spotted it, and said to the scientists working on the project that it looked "like a flying barn-door."

I once stood under a migrating gaggle of Snow Geese. Got the hell out of the way before I got hit!
