I don't know you personally, so the question of trust does not really arise. I never really trust anybody on the web, where anyone can be anything they want. Why should I? Why should it matter to you?

I am a British citizen resident in France; does that make me more or less trustworthy?

I haven't had much experience with the British, so I'll need to get back to you on that.

An American will stab you in the chest, and say "I did it for freedom".

A Frenchman will stab you in the stomach and say "I did it for la République."

A Russian will stab you in the neck and say "I did it for the Motherland".

An Englishman will stab you in the back and say "Knife? What knife?".

I don't trust you as far as I can throw you - you've got mistletoe hanging over your butt.

Take George Bush's brain, Dick Cheney's heart, and Bear's trustworthiness, place the lot in a thimble and you might fill it to the top. The majority of the room would be taken up by Bear's trustworthiness, so, in answer to the question: yes, I do trust the Bear.

I'm willing to trust the bear . . . after all, it doesn't cost me anything, and we're many hundreds of miles apart . . . no skin off my nose . . .
