Happy Thanksgiving!
Today I planned on sleeping in but the real Marty heard a squirrel at 7:30. The kids are at their dad's and I'm on-call for work all the way through the weekend. So Saturday will be my turkey day.
Dys, good thread. I loved reading about the family traditions and memories.
This got me thinking. We moved away from family when my son was 3 months old. So my thanksgivings with the kids have always been very small. I'd like them to experience more traditional feelings. Christmas is pretty much the same on my part. However, the ex goes to Tahoe to see family every Christmas or New Year.
Maybe next year we should travel home(mid-west, burrrrr)
Got that right, Marty. Mid 20s when I got up to put the bird in. Just in time, too. It was in the 70s two days ago...
Crazy, I remember leaving the house 2 hours early to get to work on time. People in Seattle just don't know how to drive in snow.
