we don't see lots of robins here in albaturkey but just a few minutes ago I was sitting in my garage chair having a smoke and a robin landed out in the driveway apparently looking for seeds/food. I just sat there drinking my grapefruit juice/smoking my cig and the robin came inside the garage up to my foot and started nibbling at the shoe strings of my mocs. Interesting I thought so I just kept talking to the robin and he/she did figure 8's around my feet playing and pecking at my shoelaces. Often, I think, real life is far more interesting than our minds allow us to comprehend.
Ah...so that's where they went.
For the price of a handful of peanuts I get minutes of enjoyment every morning when the local blue jays dive bomb our balcony for breakfast. I suspect bird watching is good for one's blood pressure.

Better than watching porn, while drinking vinho verde?

Well...I guess you'd need to be a little "green" to get a kick out of porn

With very good taste in cheese from what I hear/read...
I like that robin in the garage at the shoe story. I'm particularly fond of robins. Hadn't seen them since childhood til I moved to the famed north north and they used to land in droves at/around the Cotoneaster parneyi (lacteus) across the street. Haven't seen one here... am heartened you did, Dys.
The robins often come to us in November, but not always. Sometimes it's another time of year. They stay a few weeks is all. I love to watch them run around like a bunch of chickens. They have a personality similar to many domesticated animals.
