rare, I'm in ocaracoke isaldn getting ready to dj a wedding and tomorrow I'll play an early gig at home nd then actually have the night off
I'm going to meet my drumer and friend Dave for a few drinks. How exciting.
It'll be nice to be off, although I wish there was something more exciting to do.
Ocracoke is the ****... except for the 2.5 hour ferry ride to get to it...
My word, bear. Ocracoke? Been there, and you are right. I felt that the islanders were a bit put off by tourists as they were NOT very friendly. Loved the ferry ride, however.
Enjoyed the stuff about Blackbeard (Captain Teach).
Enjoy your night off, buddy. The music business can be a tough profession, but it does pay well.
edited for spelling of "Ocracoke"
gee letty i find everyone here to be great... friendly and down to earth. the only porblem with ocracoke is thaqt i don't want to leave. i could finish my life out here, no problem
dj'd a wedding last night, had a great time.... local noise ordinances required I be done by 10:30...also great... I was sound asleep before 12 and today I'm refreshed and feel great. I'm typing on the deck of my hotel while I take breakfast and look out over the sound. It's peaqceful, it's beautiful and I do NOT want to come back to Raleigh.
duty calls however I have an early show. 2.5 hour ferry ride and then about 3 hours home. That's the only other problem You can charter a small plane and get here in about an hour though. I may look into that and try to get down again during the off season when it's especially quiet.
I went to meet my friend at the restaurant and he wasn't there.. I waited about five miutes and was so worn out I came home. so much for the big Saturday night off....
Go to sleep
