Vet's waiting rooms.

ICU waiting rooms.

Actually, a good people watcher is always in Observation Mode.

********

Count me in as a Lorn English Major--have vocabulary, would like to travel.

Chai--

I can't say I've enjoyed my time in ICU waiting rooms, but ICU waiting rooms are friendly places.

I've got you all beat. I now have camera's around the neighborhood and clubhouse that I can pull up even at home on the internet and watch...

Oh, maybe that's not the same thing. Embarrassed

I've always been a people watcher. I bought a big hard cover book when I was 13 through one of those book clubs (7 books for a penny or something) called "Manwatching." It was all about the psychology and study of human behavior. I loved it!

Okay. I can top all of you...

The best place for people watching was definitely the Harley Biker Rally in downtown Raleigh yesterday!

OMG!

I'm sorry, people watching should be something enjoyable, entertaining.
Seeing people in an emergency situation is not pleasurable to me.

If you want to observe the true dregs of society {those tend to be the most interesting to observe}...the emergency room ranks pretty high, even in a small community. County fairs and carnivals...yep, went to a parade and carnival yesterday...I think it must have been "see how high you can wear your thong day"...maybe it was one of the competitions that I wasn't aware of....and the neck tattoos...the neck...jeez.

But the best place by far has to be traffic court...to quote Star Wars..."You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy"

Calamity Jane--

I wouldn't drift into the ER or the ICU for the purpose of watching people. When I must be in a hospital I try to keep my wits about me. People Watching is a hobby that has grown out of the primal urge to survive.
