The West End Fair opens tomorrow--pigs and cows and needlework and 4-H exhibits and funnel cakes and yappy carnival barkers and the Methodist Luncheon Tent and the West End Library stall....

My stepdaughter the Sgt. will be home on leave from Kuwait in a few weeks. She and I usually run away from the boys and go shopping and to the movies and just hang out and that's always fun.

My best friend in Chicago is coming to visit us around the end of Sept.

Spoke with my cuz this morning. Her son, my Godson, is back at Morehouse College this year (he dropped out for a year to get some foolishness out of his system) and their homecoming celebration is such a blast, I'm trying to get her to come into town for it. That's in October.
