How To Set A Timer Will Completely Change Your Life

One of my top and most efficient tips for getting more done is much easier than you imagine! Making an alarm countdown timer is a great way to make you more efficient in your work. 3. 2. 1. GO!

Every single person should strive for productivity. It's not about doing more. It's about completing every task you have to complete, so that you can accomplish more of what you love to do! It's true that once you've learned to become productive, your life will transform for the better.

One of the things I do that has made significant changes to my daily life is setting a clock to aid me in staying focused and finish things! Not sure what took me so long to work this little method out. Using a simple timer has helped me solve (or at least greatly assist) some recurring issues that I face in my daily life.

My kids are constantly nagging me to make them get moving faster, shut off the television, and get their chores done.

Feeling like I was doing nothing other than cleaning all day and not doing anything.

I haven't given myself enough time to relax during the day, or relaxing for too long and getting guilt-ridden for wasting excessive quantities of time. Whenever you aim for additional info about time counter, look at more info.

This and many other things could be improved by using a simple kitchen timer, watch, or clock feature on your phone or stopwatch, or sun dial. You can make these and other things easier by using an ordinary kitchen clock or watch, a features for clocks on your phone, stopwatch or sun dial. These are only one of the ways I use a time counter, throughout my day to simplify my life. Let's check if they work!

Set a Timer to Produce Meal Times a Doddle

For children, meal times can become a marathon event packed with threats, nagging and scolding children to eat their food. Sounds dramatic? It does.

In anger in our frustration, we set the clock for 10 minutes one night, and announced that anyone who had finished their meal by the time the clock rang, would get dessert. Because we weren't screaming and nagging anymore, the rest of the time was filled with singing chit chat, and casual conversation. The alarm went off and the kids who had finished their dinner received dessert. Some didn't.

Tips For Using The Dinner Timer
The "dinner's up" timer has become a daily event in our home! These are the strategies I have discovered to make it extremely successful.

Make your desserts simple. SUPER easy.

We're careful not to serve the kids more than they should or could consume, as they are required to eat each bite of what's on their plate prior to the timer running out for dessert.

They don't HAVE to eat everything that's placed on their plate...but they must eat for dessert if they wish to.

The meal timer is only utilized when absolutely needed. Some days we don't need the timer. People are hungry, love dinner, or the stars are aligned for any reason, and dinner is served without an issue.

The timer can be used for every meal, not only dinner. This really comes in handy on mornings when they have school, and it can be a battle to get everyone out the school in time.

Even if a timer is used, try to make mealtimes enjoyable and conversational. If the meal is boring, no one will come to dinner. For more suggestions on making dinner enjoyable for everyone, see my tips for eating out.

Use A Timer To Encourage Play Time
Some kids have mastered the art of playing on their own or focusing on certain things for long periods of time. For those who need help to focus on specific aspects of play, use a timer! This can be extremely helpful to kids who are "bored" easily and bounce around from one thing to the next. This will reduce the amount of mess and allow them to get some play time in.

It is likely that you will discover your children enjoy these types of activities. The timer might become irrelevant. But it's an excellent opportunity to make them concentrate on something before going outside to play, having screen time or even doing homework.
