My hometown is Tucson, AZ, I've lived in Connecticut for over 27 years and now have moved to Albuquerque. Lucky to have two grown sons, extraordinary young men, niether of whom are married, but both have great girlfriends and, hopefully, those girls will soon be my daughters-in-law.
My two older brothers have been a huge influence in my life. They both have Fragile X Syndrome, an hereditary form of mental retardation. Growing up with them, I became aware, at a very young age, of the evils of bigotry and prejudice. Because of my brothers and what they taught me, I have tried to live my life with as much openess and understanding as possible. In many ways, they have been my biggest blessing.
In 2003 I turned sixty and my life became sweeter than I could ever imagine. I divorced my husbanc of 34 years and moved west to be with Dyslexia. For me, life began at sixty.
An old abuzzer, I love a2k and the civility (usually) found here.
