The Turquoise Bug was waiting by the wooded banks of the Virgin River. Surrounded on all sides by soaring red rock cliffs capped with white ancient petrified sand dunes, the river has carved this Valley of Zion and created a physical oasis for the life which flourishes here in the midst of the desert, and also a spiritual oasis for the souls which pass through it. A hundred miles downstream it will dissapear into the Colorado River well above the temporary interuption of its quest for the sea by the Hoover Dam near the city of Las Vegas.
