While in Chicago the past eight days, I discussed the possibility of having another gathering in San Francisco, and several in Chicagoland showed some interest, so I thought it might be a good idea to pursue this idea on A2K-Land.
We'll need some month/year suggestions to give everybody a chance to provide some ideas on when the best time would be for the greatest number of people.
We will also need some volunteers to become hosts to our visitors while they are here, so don't be shy. I'll be taking some folks up to the Napa/Sonoma wine country, the Jelly Belly candy factory, Muir Woods, and some other places around Northern California - not all in one day. So, speak up, volunteers~!
I'm 330 miles south of San Fran but I'd make the trip up there. September comes to mind.
I'll be tied up from October 4 to October 19; going to Tunisia. Otherwise, my calender is wide open. I'll try to fit in my other travels during the periods when there seems to be no interest in San Francisco.
I'll be there.

Well, as I'm invited to visit the guy who opened this thread, I'll probably attend the San Fran(cis) gathering...
Things are looking up the first day, so my adrenalin is beginning to churn; hope this continues.

Since I'm already here ... I'll be there. September looks good to me (summer starts here then).
I'm not sure we could all take cicerone with his adrenaline churning - even without it he can be pretty volatile. He has asked me to help with the setup and I'll be glad to do what I can.
By September we will know the full extent of Sarkozy's triumph.

I'd love to make it to an a2k gathering! I'm pretty much limited to summers...if it turns out to be around the beginning of August, I'd be there-- I'll be in San Fran then anyway.

No, please don't. I will restrain myself and avoid any hint of satisfaction with the wisdom of the French. Besides, a few extra visiting left wing types will hardly be noticed among the crazies of San Francisco.
