A spoonful of my beef stew to see how it's coming along.

Half price joint of beef finally taken out of the freezer, defrosted and cut into cubes.
Every single vegetable that looks a bit tired taken out of the veggie rsck and peeled, diced and chucked in massive pot.....consisting of....
Sweet potato, potato, leeks, carrots, turnip, parsnip, onion, shallot, garlic, courgette, mushrooms and sweetheart cabbage.
Two tins of chopped tomato, beef stock, heap of mixed herbs, worcester sauce, heap of ground black pepper, tablespoon of horseradish, pint of boiling water, and six and a half glugs of Roc Des Chevaliers red wine (the amount left in bottle from yesterday).

Fry, sizzle, and caramelise as necessary.

Chuck in pot.

Bring to boil.

Just sbout simmer for two hours. (Or more, depending on whether you forget that the cooker ring is still on.)

Tastes good so far. I feel a bellybuster coming on this evening.

@vonny,
It was! And the best thing is that I can get a roll like that for about one USD. If I were to buy that back home, it'd probably be $10.

@FBM,
Exactly right FBM. It would have been $9.99 where I go to get mine.

It worked on my computer. Looks tasty.

Last thing? ricotta torte: c. onions, saut. mushrooms, cooked collards, roasted poblano chiles in ricotta/eggs/asadero cheese mix.
