Hey, i started playing the bass a year ago and I have got to grade 4, through trinity rock school exams.
The bass I have at the moment is a daisy rock butterfly bass
http://www.daisyrock.com/products/butterfly/bf_bass.htm

I want to get a new one, because athough it is pretty, it is a bit to girly if I wanted to be in a band, and it's a really awkward shape.

I want a new bass, costing about £150-£200, so good quality although not costing the earth. I was thinking metalic dark blue, because it isn't as boring as black, but it is still pretty.
what does anyone think?
thanks, pq xxxxxxxxxxx

My Bass of choice was always a Fender Jazz Bass Special.
You don't state how many strings you wanna play with.....4,5,or 6?
Look in your local Yellow Pages for guitar/music shops.Failing that, treat yourself to a day in London and pop into as many guitar shops as you can in and off the Charing Cross Road.
