Hi everybody, a relative of mine is doing an investigation about any
company system. Her friends and she tried with a company but they
didn't succeed to collect any info because the company itself. She wants
some help about this, and has the following questions to be answered,
What type of information system (TPS, KWS, MIS, DSS, ESS)?
BY which organization (i.e. name, activities, industry, etc.) the system is
implemented?
What are the inputs, processing, and the outputs of the system?
Who are the end users of this system?
What is the organization's IT infrastructure that supports this system?
What roles dose the system play in the organization?
How is the system supporting the organization's business operations and
decision-making? What are the major changes the system has brought to
the organization?
What things can the system do that can't be done without it?
What are the key management challenges involved in operating and maintaining the system?
What is your experience working on this-project?
If you have any idea about them, or work in a company, I'd appreciate
any help.

What is this for? Is it for a research paper in college or some other item? Companies do not like to give out internal information for privacy reasons so getting this information may be difficult. I couldn't give you this information from my company - 1) because I am not IT proficient and 2) I would lose my job for giving out company info.
You may want to try a small company - you may have better luck with that. Once for college, I did do a research paper similar to the questions you asked. I called a smaller business that I worked at during one summer - the IT director was happy to help me. I think in part because it was a small company and people love to talk about themselves and their jobs and also because it was for college and he probably remembered what it was like in college for him.
It's a research for a college, you are right about the difficulty giving info.
