So now that he isnt on the committee its ok for him to violate the secrecy oath he made?

Everything he discussed had been disclosed elsewhere in the intervening years. Nothing Durbin talked about was secret anymore.

Why not? If it's public knowledge, maintaining a vow of secrecy would be a vain gesture.

So, you're concerned with the honor or legality of Durbin's actions, but not with those of the president who orchestrated the deception Durbin's pointing out?

Then apparently he was too stupid at that time and had no influence...
