Just remembered; weather.com now has interactive maps. Zooms in pretty damn close to Google Earth's capabilities, if you can find your house based on your zip code (Hint, pick a land mark you know you'll recognize, then follow the roads to your house).

Ps. It will work for you too, Deb. I just backed off and flew to Oz and could tighten up to about a single big building in Sydney.

Also, it has no weather for where I live....so I doubt it will have images?

Went to weather.com. Not only did I not get the weather report, but my computer froze. Had to control/alt/delete to get out of there.

I'm useless, hopeless, and helpless with this stuff.

Can't imagine why that happened. Shrugs. If you grab that pic I posted and circle your place; I'll get you a close up.

I have the image, but I cannot see any way to copy it?

That option does not appear on the menu when I right click?

Deb, hold down ctrl and hit the key that says "print screen SysRq or some such thing and it will be on your clipboard. From there you can paste it in Paint and convert it to Jpeg.

Ps. Yours didn't strike right on a building either... am I close?

The northeast corner. Don't need anything closer. I'm happy as a clam with this. Smile

If it were a bit farther back, you'd be able to see the Guggenheim Museum and Central Park.

Grab and circle?
I gather you don't know how? Control + print screen... paste in paint... circle... load to image shack...

Or just try to pretend the shot I posted is on a grid divided into 8 X 8... starting from the bottom left (1 X 1); tell where to capture. Or do I just need to zoom the center?

You're poifect!!!

If you look at the SW corner of the major intersection shown, mine is the building right on that corner....you can see the oak trees between it and the main road, on the northern side of the building.

To the west of my building, , you can see a smaller projection of the main building that forms a rectangle....my place is one of the apartments in that smaller section of building.

You can (with difficulty!) just see the shape of the balconyof the person on the top floor.....to the south. My balcony is the same, but, of course, below the upper ones.

I look north across the road to the park.

Bill, It's really not necessary for you to do anything more. From the little x on the picture, my house is one block west on the northeast corner. I'm happy I can see it.
