Trash the dress.....

I am totally in agreement with Soz on this one--i have never understood or liked the idea in advertising (or any other form of media expression) of portraying people as dead or injured. (Don't like images of bloody or bruised people).

I don't like it either -- and don't get it at all.

I understand that in advertising sometimes you need a shocking image to stand out but why anyone would want a portrait of them playing dead is beyond me.

I'll add that I also hated the "heroin chic" trend from the late 80s - the hollow eyed strung out look always gave me the heebie-jeebies.

Yeah - or the heroin addict! Blech.

I think this one is supposed to evoke Ophelia from Hamlet.

Huh. That one reminded me of Kylie Minogue, in that video with Nick Cave, "Where The Wild Roses Grow"......

I really, really liked it...... But..... It's a bit different when we're talking about wedding pictures, eh?

I thought of Ophelia too, could be the source of both.

They're both too scantily dressed though, need big billowing robes.

Well i don't t like the photographs either. I mean those in which the person seems to be dead.

It sure seems to suggest the groom is super hung and feeling a little passionate.

All wedding stuff bores me to tears of excruciating boredom.

At least that one's funny...like the images of towers and trains going into tunnels to allude to sex!!!!
