Flash Equalizer Help

So I dowloaded a fla file from this page: http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Effects/real_equ-nuran-8801/index.php

(There is a sample flash movie that you can view and a link to download the fla file if you want).

I want to customize the equalizer, but when I insert my own music file the equalizer doesn't work. I even tried replacing the swf file that the equalizer reads from with my own swf file (named the same... just different music) and that didn't work either.
Any suggestions?
