usually the CBC news don't provide much opportunity to laugh ... but today's news gave plenty of opportunity to laugh .
first there was the news from "kentucky fried chicken" who apparently have asked pope benedict to bless their fish sandwich .
right thereafter there was a filmclip (youtube style) showing a KFC restaurant in new york at night ... with a bunch of fat and happy rats running around .
a/t the news "KFC will take care of the problem " (crisply fried rats anyone :wink: ).
and to top it off the first commercial right thereafter was by KFC !
if i had tried to make it up it wouldn't have worked .
(you want the regular or "extra crispy" coating ?).

A new sandwich at a popular restaurant chain was billed as a modern take on loaves and fishes for todays Lenten observers, and that chain wants the Popes blessing for the sandwich.
The president of KFC, most well known for its fried chicken, announced on Wednesday that the company has sent a letter to the Vatican for Pope Benedict XVI to bless the Fish Snacker.
A news release from the restaurant chain says the Vatican has acknowledged that it has received the companys request for the Popes blessing.
