Today's NPR show with Tom Ashbrook (On Point, 1st hour) scared the pants off me. The topic was Dick Cheney, the power he weilds, the road he's taking, the people he's screwed, etc. You can go to the npr site and listen here:

Of all the rabid, foaming at the mouth conservatives on this site I find Ticomaya the most tolerable and will thus not criticize him for his misguided and futile attempt at verbal harpooning.

In my email this morning was a note from my sister in reponse to something I had written her yesterday about my choices for the 2008 election. Part of her reponse was about her fears that Cheney might actually orchestrate a scenario that delays (read that "cancels") the elections leaving Pinocchio in the Oval Office indefinitely.

My response was: I wish I could feel comfortable laughing at that!

She's not scary because of how she looks (well, perhaps she is, but that wasn't my central point).
