Went well. Mostly form filling so they have their arses covered.

Pre-existing injury declaration.

How do you react to high stress situations.

What are some qualities of good team players.

So you'd think you have a reasonable chance, dadpad?

I hope so.

Good luck!

Good luck & be safe.
I'd recommend you go with heavy denim outerwear, mebbe some canvas chaps, leather-soled (not composition or rubber), steel-toed boots with good ankle support (hobnails are good - so are a couple extra pairs of thick cushion-type all-cotton work socks), a hard hat, safety goggles, and lots and lots of sturdy work gloves. A few bandanas are good to have too, and you'll appreciate a couple water canteens. Oh, and something along the lines of high energy snack bars are a great idea - things like chocolate bars, though, likely aren't gonna travel well in that environment.

Click the pic to see whatchya got to look forward to -

Speaking just from personal experience (I've been a volunteer firefighter, in rural environment, for many, many years - just about ready to retire from active participation), I'll say that while I would prefer to play with the trucks, when it comes to putting out fires in general, not just wildland fires, the damned hand tools get lots more play than anything else (which is the proximate reason I'm retiring from the entertainment; I'm getting too old to enjoy that part of it).

So (I'm a bit confused) this means you've got the job?

If so, congratulations!

Not yet msolga.

They will let me know (i assume on monday) if I am through to the next round I then need to have physical exam and a fitness test. the fitness test is a 4.8 km hike with a 20 kg pack which must be completed in 38-45 minutes which should bea fairly brisk walk.

So we shall see.
