They're found at least as north as the Chihuahuan Desert. My coworker had one as a guest in her backyard. It was kicking back on her patio furniture. She lives right at the base of the Franklin Mountains here in the a-hole o' Texas.

@InfraBlue,
Thanks for the info. I hadn't realized they are that far north.

@InfraBlue,
Oddly, I wrote a small text about Coatimudi for some assignment, no idea why, as I just picked something from our small library, guessing in I was in 7th grade. All this time later, I remember them.

@edgarblythe,
They must have been/slept up there for a period of time during the snowfall.

Yes. They probably have a Den somewhere up under the eaves of the structure and it was probably blocked by something so they went to the roof for safety and simply fell asleep as the snow fell.

I have an Eskie (American Eskimo Dog) and she loves to go outside to the top of a snow pile and curl up and go to sleep even when it's snowing. And I suspect wild foxes are a good bit tougher than she is.

@edgarblythe,
Oh, huggies; these remind me of the Alpacas we used to stop to see in northern california. I've put pictures on here, but I doubt they are findable now.

@ossobucotemp,
For the shot just prior to the one of the genetically modified women. From left we have a Llama, a Southdown colored sheep, a POLISH rooster, a Red Irish beef cow, and a Nubian goat.
Except for the Polih chicken who is a very territorial bird, these guys are all friendly and good candidates for "pttiing zoo" animals. The only question are Llammas, they can turn disagreeable and then they spit a loogie that is full of green cud. Its really gross.
SO, on second thought, Id lose the Llama

@edgarblythe,
I check in on my weekly "must visit" to this thread and that Serpent Eagle looks like it has a rubber glove on its head.

I sometimes get accused of deliberately misleading on these threads.
