Ten Verses Never Preached On
Poor Onan got quite a punishment for not knocking up his sister-in-law, too.
Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also
I believe it was just yesterday that someone on A2K was commenting about "spilling seed onto the ground" and now I encounter it yet again.
It's hardly safe to walk around here anymore.

Just think what life must have been like for the people who wrote the bible. This was the stuff that was on their mind, so much so that they felt compelled to write stories about it and make rules about it.
