Damn, I was hoping the poms would build a first innings lead so we crush 'em on the last day again....

148 run lead, 9 wickets in hand. Say bye bye ashes. They're coming home.

England are dead. The Aussies have been absolutely ruthless today. All England have to do to win now is post the highest last innings score in the history of test cricket!

The poms made a real fight of it until the last 3 overs. Looking good for us now.

1 wicket to go and the ashes are back where they rightfully belong.

Mind you if Pannasar can get a ton................

Stop it lord - how can we call you whingeing poms if you're gonna be like that.

It seems that the English were as underprepared for the ashes defence as we were in England last time - remember we kept picking dizzy and he couldn't get a wicket for anything ( and I love the guy and hope he's back soon).

On the plus side for England 'age shall weary them' - without McGrath and Warne (amazingly two of the all time greatest wicket takers in the same team) what will happen to Australia? Sadly McGill will run out of puff at the same time as Shane - and there's no one on the leg spin horizon for us, is there?

Thank ee LE. That kid Cook you've got played a fine knock. Classy stroke play.

Get rid of Jones the Welshman.

I think your men just needed more matches out here to acclimatise.

I can't believe this thread got this far along before I found it - and me the A2K celebrated cricket tragic!

The Adelaide test was unbelievable! The Perth result was pretty much to be expected after that! That Cook lad can bat, though! They say he may be a future England captain. Him vs the Pup in a couple of years.

It must have been difficult for Freddy, having Michael Vaughan sitting just behind him all the time.

I couldn't get tickets to the Sydney test - and now I'm not too sad!

First whitewash in 80 years. Wonder what the Aussie side will look like next time they go to England? Will be considerably different to this one.
