I am a 57yo male who has a 56yo female 1st cousin. i have

My first thought was, ewwwww, but then I read Chai's response and I have to agree. I can't imagine being attacted to any of my 1st cousins which is probably what brought on my initial response.
The only warning I would add is to keep in mind that sexual relationships come and go. When they're over the parties move on and go about their lives. Family stays family no matter what and it might get difficult later on.

Well, in this case, she wasn't likely to visit that extended family again anyway. I don't know much about the whole episode, the story was just one facet of my conversation with my friend who lives in a different state than I do, who I see and catch up with once every several years.
