Indigenous People Can be found all over the world. It just happens to be that the indigenous people of Europe (more or less) have taken over most indigenous populations' territory The same happens to the East. The ethnic Chinese (and Japanese, I believe) conquered the island of Taiwan long ago (mid 1600s), but the indigenous populations still remain. It seems they have come from different regions of the S Pacific and maintain some of their own cultures.
