Face to Face import - L/C credit check required?

Hello everyone!

I will be in china(Guangzhou,China) buying face to face, I was not approved for a L/C by my bank, they told me it requires a cr5edit check - is this true or did she mix it up with "line of credit"?

Is cash our best payment option or do most handbag/fashion accessories sellers accept business credit cards?

Is using a credit card in a face to face transaction a secure way of payment for me?

What kind of documents should be used when using these payment methods?

T/T seems too risky. SO this my not be an option for us.

You only use a letter of credit for import/export with vendors you're
not familiar with.

Face to face transaction are either handled via invoice/check or
via business credit card. However, in order for you to accept your
vendors credit card, you first need to have a merchant account
with your bank who in turn will set you up with all necessary tools.
So contact your bank for further information.

Cash is always an accepted payment form Smile

I am purchasing from suppliers in china - so what about any agreements or contracts?
can i trust them with a 30% crredit card deposit?

L/C is the safest payment for you.Face to face is the better way except the expensive cost of fly to China.
The solution for you is invite a third party help you control the purchase process in China.Like factory audit,product inspection and other issues.
