USE MORE HP SAUCE !

BBC reports that HP-SAUCE (manufactured by heinz in birmingham) will in the future be made on the continent .

from a spokesperson at heinz :
"He added the sauce would still have the Houses of Parliament on its label "because of its historical association" even though it would now be made in Holland. "

is nothing sacred ?
so i ask everyone to use HP-SAUCE every day and use plenty of it , and insist that it come from the U.K. - or next time it'll be made in ... ?
you wouldn't like that , would you ?
so put that HP-SAUCE on your breakfast- , lunch- and dinner-table and use it liberally .

We have so damn many sauces in this country that one less wont hurt. What's it taste like anyway? Is it Piedmont? Southern? Texas? or KC style?

Is it for meat or pancakes?

I would expect a sauce called House of Parliament to be somewhat grey and taste a bit like mud and grout, perfect for pepping up otherwise tasteless English food.

Is this a ketchup type thing?

Sigh, I've a friend who played with making her own ketchup about twenty years ago now. Soo... by now she'd be rich. (well, she also did lavish banquets of various cultures' foods, for fun)

I dunno about England. They do seem to like bottles of this and that.

We ain't nice about that sort of thing on this side of the pond. The closest you'll come is saying "bullshit" while faking a cough.

why don't you just state 'politely' Rolling Eyes that you prefer different sauces at din-din time !
or you might said "should have had 'hungry man' " - there's a dish you'll chew for a few days Very Happy !
