Now he's off to California to face sex charges there. Seems he got free transportation home from Thailand. He'll get a slap on the wrist in California and then write his book and collect the loot.

Is possessing child porn a slap on the wrist offence? I have no idea what sort of sentences get given out for that.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are investigating him for way more than that right about now....seems he ran a day care thing from his home.

He won't just get a slap on the wrist. California is tough on pedophiles.

They should have taken his DNA sample in Thailand, sent it to the US
and waited for the results there. He escaped prison in Thailand which he
actually deserves to rot in.

Pedophiles usually have to be kept in isolation because other inmates tend to see them as targets- remember the incarcerated pedophile priest that was murdered not too long ago? Anyone read or see the play "Short Eyes"? I'm sure the police are collecting evidence to lock this guy up. He obviously has fantasies about sexually assaulting and killing a child. He also seems to be stalking the dead, another sure sign that he is too mentally imbalanced to be put back into society anytime soon.

I certainly hope not. IMO, child porn offenses are right down there in the gutter of offenses. The stiffest possible penalities should be enacted.

I think that the fact they are now not charging him with JonBenet's murder should be looked at closely. First they seem so absolutely sure they have the right guy, then it turns out he will not even be charged.

CJ - what did he escape prison in Thailand for? I thought he was teaching and just got fired.

Right, so he was just under investigation and hadn't been charged on those issues. When you said "escaped jail", I thought you meant he had been arrested for something and this murder charge superseded it.

Yes, unfortunately they don't enforce child pornography, sex with minors
not enough in Thailand - thus the Mekka for Pedophiles *sigh*
