Hey, I'm looking for a program to make my own signatures and banners for my website, can anyone recommend the best program to use for this?

I would highly recommend Photoshop CS2 to create sigs and banners (or anything else for that matter). You can get free Brushes, Actions, etc. that would make this type of thing easier.

yea photoshop is the best but there is also fire works
If you're going to use Photoshop, use the Ctrl-Alt-Shift-S (save for Web). This optimizes the file so it loads fast. You can adjust the file size versus detail (colors used).
This Export option is also in Fireworks, a great program for web animation and website design.
