Has anyone heard of Doctor Rudolph Diesel ? He ran his prototype engine from peanut oil . Biodiesel & even straight vegetable oil is not only just an alternative fuel , but quintessential in our independence from fossil fuels . Biodiesel which is produced with atleast 84% vegetable oil is creating a whole new & improved agricultural economy that any country has ever seen before . The process is fairly simple & in America (many people in Europe are doing just this already)I believe we are going to see more & more people making their own fuel . You can use filtered waste vegetable from restaurants as your main ingredient . Here is some food for thought Diesel Secret

Shame there'll be no water for irrigation soon.

How much green stuff will be needed to run America on bio-oil?

Weve been making biodiesel for about a year or so and its getting harder to get the waste oils because it seems that everyone else is lately making biodiesel(lots of farmers are now playing with it). One of the problems is that, with the overabundance of glycerine, that secondary market has plummeted and lately the costs have shrunk to a more realistic number (although we have a fairly good del with a boutique soap maker). The good news is that we can still realize diesel for about 1.80 a gallon. and weve found much more available hydroxides and alkys. Weve experimented with lime from cement kiln dust (must be more careful because this can hydrate with a reaction.

HEY cummins trbo 06, I have to say that, ever since theyve quited down the Dodge Diesel trucks, you can hear yourself talk in the cab with the engine running. Now if only Dodge would do something about body integrity.
