What do you think of online banks

I'm shopping for CD rates, and the State Farm bank is lots better than the brick and mortar banks in town. Are there any problems or questions I should be asking?

I'm not really uncomfortable with the idea, but with a resource like this, second, third, etc. opinions are welcome.
