It's simply the best Ive seen. That doesn't mean it can replace dialogue with a human being.

It's interesting, to a point, and then loses its appeal rapidly.

I know exactly what you're saying.
I don't expect them to be able to converse on the same level as a human but I do expect them to be consistent and make some sense within the narrow confines of their parameters for conversation.
They seem to do nothing other than spout random inanities however.
