Am very strapped at present. Bought the gf a goofy, shiny red guitar. Since she doesn't play, though, and I do, it's worked out pretty well for me...

Oh, CJ, you make me weep for Half-Moon Bay! When I left, that was still being built, and we could imagine that it was just a place with lots of pumpkins where surfers drowned in 15-foot waves or got attacked by sharks. (How was the golfing? There's a beautiful course there, isn't there?)

ummmm, i can't even get close to that. perhaps cutting the hedges on a ladder with a chainsaw in a tanktop and short shorts. that got some attention from the passer-bys.

Ok, say extravagance is living or buying beyond your means.... I do that every month. That's what credit cards are for. Some would say I have an extravagant grocery habit: I buy from the shi-shi health food market. But, the last really extravagant thing I did was oh! I know! Going to the WSP show and hanging out backstage!

Last time? Maybe, at age of 5 or 6. If I remember well, I got up in the middle of the night and chose an erroneous direction toward the bathroom; as a result, I peed into the wardrobe...

Well, there is a part of the definition that describes that extravagance of mine:

I do not think that urination into wardrobes is in bounds of normal behavior.
By the way, the definition does not oblige such a behavior being deliberate (in my case, if it was, it would conform definition of vandalism, and not extravagance), therefore, I conclude that it might have been erroneous as well.

well, of course ... what is extravagant to one, may seem boring to another - or what was extravagant for you one day, may seem either tame or plain unthinkable now, depending on which way your life developed ...
