Thank you so much for your input, and extensive knowledge, Setanta
and Francis (gustav and dlowan of course too).

That's great history lessons here. I'll print it for little Jane, when she's
ready to battle that in school.

Indeed it was the battle of Cheat Mountain, as I found out. In reading
some of the data concerning the various battles, they soon sounded
all alike - to me at least.
