A man is trapped in a room with no doors and windows. All that is in the room is a table he DOES NOT have a mirror. How does he escape?

I think you misquoted this riddle. It goes like this: "Imagine that you are trapped in a room with no door or windows. All that is in the room is a table. You do not have a mirror. How do you escape."

If you think about it, that changes the possibilities a lot.

Imagination is the key to our reality.

"Sitting around is a sign of standing" - When is this definitely NOT true.

Simple but apt.

As easy as:

a) He breaks the table in two.
b) Two halves make a whole.
c) He crawls through the ‘hole’.

If he bit his finger he could make it a LITTLE saw.
Take him a long time to cut through that table though.

Surley, it is enough that he ‘saw’ the table. The bigger the table, the bigger the table he saw. He could use that ‘saw’ to saw the table he saw.

BTW Please donÂ’t call me Shiley Laughing

If it were a glassed topped table he coulda saw right through it with only minimal effort.

Better watch those fingers on the sharp edges though or shirley we would feel sore. Laughing

Isn't it "imagine a room...?"

It could be either "imagine a room..." or "imagine you are trapped in a room...." since "imagine you are trapped in a room..." is just the beginning of the imaginary scenario in which you escape. Likewise, "imagine a room..." is just the precurser in this instance of your relationship to the room which as it turns out is eventual escape through imaginary endevours.

I think this riddle is imaginary. The only answer to it is -- you get out the same way you got in.

That's the point of saying "imagine a room." If it only has a table in it, there's no need to escape.

If there is nothing else in the room, including lighting, how does he know there is a table in the room? It's too dark. Also, he would be suffocating as there is no air, either...

But, as he realizes that all that there is in the room is a table, he realizes that excludes himself as well, and voila, he is no longer there.

He could always run round in ever decreasing circles until he disappears up his own arse.

We have a jokes forum, don't we? Why not move philosophy over there?
