One time I was working out of town and staying at a Hampton Inn that had a sushi restaurant next door.
They had a sushi buffet; all you can eat for $10.99.
Ice cold peel and eat shrimp too. Twisted Evil
Man I used to roll out of that place.
And they served Tsing Tao beer too.

@panzade,
I tried Tsing Tao long ago - probably at a local Chinese restaurant many years ago, and had it a few times since then. I like it.

@jcboy,
Me too, too.
Have only tried sushi once here, was like pink slime, at a place I like otherwise. Cripes, do I have to teach them? Re-pul-sive, says the maven.

(I know I'm snotty, but really!)

@ossobuco,
Last night my friend Debbie and her husband invited the three of us over for dinner. I knew that woman didn’t know how to cook but last nights dinner was wonderful. For a minute I thought she must have been taking cooking classes then her husband spilled the beans and said she picked up those dinners from a restaurant in Laguna. Cool

Tomorrow is my turn to cook but I haven’t decided what to make. I’ll have to give it some thought today.

Thai restaurant in Seoul, with a North Korean refugee/defector that I'm tutoring. We ordered a seafood-and-noodles dish and a fried-pork-over-onions-and-other-veggies, both of which were listed as the spiciest on the menu. She thought the seafood one was spicy, but I didn't think either of them were. I lived in Thailand for a year, so I konw what spicy means to the Thais, and this wasn't it. Not even close to where it has ever visited. Good eats, nevertheless, for a chain joint.

The Rican is going to be making beef burgundy for dinner tonight. I can’t get any photos because the kitchen is still off limits to me when he’s in there cooking.

I'm still full from lunch at a nice ramen place, so dinner is hot cocoa with about a quarter tsp of instant hazelnut coffee. Delish.

I'm going to be sweating garlic from today's lunch.

Soooooo attractive.

I was thinking about buying it, too. The news says he has recently admitted that he changed some of the details about his experience, but it's still said to be a trustworthy account. I might get to hear my two students' stories one day, too.

Antonio loves my homemade meatballs so tonight I’m going to make them with some homemade sauce and penne pasta. The pasta won't be homemade Cool

@jcboy,
just wait

homemade pasta is surprisingly simple - it's more a matter of drying room than anything (if you're drying instead of using it fresh)

@ehBeth,
I’ve heard that from several friends. One friend of mine has a pasta maker, I may have to look into one and give it a try. Cool
