It is the American people that drives the economy, not Obama. He deserves no credit, zero, none.

In which case he deserves no blame either.

okie, the economy and employment take about six years, on average from examining the previous two recessions, to recover fully. And this one was much more serious than those two. At 2 1/2 years, the process is barely getting started.Took a decade and a huge economic stimulus from WWII to recover from the Great Depression. You want quick recovery, you;ve got to be ready to pay for it, and stop quacking about the national debt, which the Republicans didn't complain about when they were running it up.

@okie,
So...
If a President comes in and unemployment goes up by 30% or more in his first year in office would that mean that President was a failure and shouldn't be reelected?
What if the unemployment didn't come down from that 30% increase after his first year but got worse by June of his third year in office?

@okie,
Just another case of okie's ignorance.

Quote:
By propping up GM and Chrysler, the suppliers the industry relies on are able to continue

It's easy to look at the bailouts and bankruptcies of General Motors and Chrysler as a big-government bonanza. Some even see tints of socialism in the loans and subsequent government ownership stakes. But as Ford points out today, there was more at stake than just two companies.

The entire industry, and in some ways, the entire U.S. economy, was riding on the survival of GM and Chrysler, says Ford Motor Co executive chairman Bill Ford, Jr. "It would have been so catastrophic to have a supply-base meltdown because it would have brought down all the auto manufacturers and frankly some other industries as well," Ford told CNBC TV according to an Automotive News report.

okie relies of FOX News for all his information - which turns out to be biased and wrong about 90% of the time. A mannequin without brains.

So much for President Obama’s Wall Street problem.

About a third of the money raised by Obama’s top fundraisers this year came from the financial sector, suggesting that strained relations with Wall Street have not hurt Obama’s ability to attract donations there, according to new data from the Center for Responsive Politics released Friday.

The numbers represent a notable increase from 2008, when bundlers in the investment and banking arena accounted for about 20 percent of the total brought in by top fundraisers for Obama.

I am sure that we are supposed to forget by election time how cozy Obama is with the crooks on Wall Street.

So of course come the next election you're going to vote out all the Republicans who've worked unceasingly to weaken and kill any legislation to regulate and oversee the operations of those crooks on Wall St., aren't you, Hawkeye? Eh, what's that? Can't hear you, Hawkeye.

@H2O MAN,
You are becoming more and more open about your racism, arent you.
Seeing the crap you post, I refuse to even consider you a conservative, you are simply a racist.

This is one of the most evil, vile postings you have ever made, and you have finally shown the world your true beliefs.

I am putting you on ignore, which is something I dont like to do.
From now on, dont address any comments to me at all.
I hate that I am breathing the same air as you are.
