It's funny for you NOT to complain about deficit. Did you say over and over during Bush II that deficit spending was bad?

Hee hee, this was simply too funny not to post:

BEWARE THE OBAMA 'EVIL EYE'
Tue Jun 30 2009 07:43:56 ET

As the summer begins, White House watchers have spotted a new look by President Obama: The Evil Eye!

Staffers have joked about the menacing glance, which comes when the president meets with world leaders who are not aligned with his progressive view.

White House photographers have captured the "evil eye" in recent weeks, during sessions with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Colombia's Alvaro Uribev.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi got hit with the commander's malocchio last week in the Oval office.

And at least one White House reporter has been on the receiving end of the daggers during a press conference.

It is funny, but it's also interesting to note that only conservatives/MACs can interpret innocent pictures of our president as "evil eye." Your imagination never ceases to surprise.

Even funnier when Obama's staff, who first identified the phenomenon, are described as 'conservatives'. Smile

Funneir all right!~ From the Nielsen Survey:
Quote:
Fox News and the Drudge Report draw the highest percentage of conservatives—even though Rupert Murdoch's news network still declares itself "fair and balanced."

Did you you honestly think the biased, liberal media outlets would
draw more conservatives that a neutral media outlet such as FOX?

Again it was Obama's own staff who first noted this 'evil eye' phenomenon.

Re the Drudge report, every media source in the country goes to that website first thing in the morning to see what the news of the day is going to be. He seems to get a good jump on most of them. But as for 'conservative bias':

Quote:
Since Groseclose and Milyo were more concerned with bias in news reporting than opinion pieces, which are designed to stake a political position, they omitted editorials and Op‑Eds from their tallies. This is one reason their study finds The Wall Street Journal more liberal than conventional wisdom asserts.

Another finding that contradicted conventional wisdom was that the Drudge Report was slightly left of center.

"One thing people should keep in mind is that our data for the Drudge Report was based almost entirely on the articles that the Drudge Report lists on other Web sites," said Groseclose. "Very little was based on the stories that Matt Drudge himself wrote. The fact that the Drudge Report appears left of center is merely a reflection of the overall bias of the media."

Drudge used to be on radio for a couple of hours on Sunday nights here, but he was so balanced he was boring. I don't remember the name of the guy who replaced Drudge but he has a much more lively program.

Just because you "think" every media in the country goes to the Drudge Report, that's a far cry from them reporting it. I haven't seen anything about Obama's evil eye except here on a2k that you posted - from Drudge.

That you are a fan of Drudge has been shown by the Nielsen Survey.

Minnesota court rules Democrat Al Franken won Senate seat

By Todd Melby Todd Melby – 50 mins ago

MINNEAPOLIS (Reuters) – The Minnesota Supreme Court on Tuesday declared Democrat Al Franken the winner of a tight Senate race over Republican Norm Coleman, effectively giving Democrats a critical 60-seat majority needed to push through President Barack Obama's agenda.

Coleman told reporters in St Paul, Minnesota: "I will abide by (the court's) result."

Can anyone (L or R) honestly take pride in Franken being elected senator?

Mr Coleman could have taken his quest to Federal court. I think a factor may have been the recent announcement that the Gov (R) will not seek another term. Coleman may seek that position.
