right i just caught the smallest bit of info on this encaustic painting and all i can gather is you use irons or some kind of hot apparatus to apply paint or wax in layers. if anyone knows anythin about this i would be very greatful if you enlightened me, it sounds really interesting and i'm always out to try new things

Never done it myself, though it sounds an interesting process.

hey thankyou for those links, i think i need to start looking for supplies locally and jut get on with it. it does sound like fun tho Very Happy

I saw an exhibit of encaustic art recently and noticed that a casual viewer could tell which paintings were part of which batch of wax melt.
