Anyone heard that song, by Joe Henry? I really like the song and particularly the opening. I would encourage the members of A2K to have a listen if you can track the song down.

Please give me your opinion if you do so.

Carry on.

Tis true. He was on NPR a few weeks ago. She covered one of his songs, and now he farts through silk undies.

So, what's your opinion of the guy? Or, more importantly and closer to the subject at hand, the aforementioned song.

Personally, I don't care for his stuff. I had a promo copy of Short Man's Room and couldn't stand it. It just sounds to me like he's trying too hard. On the NPR segment, they played his version of his song, followed by Madonna's and it was like night and day. Not because of the slick production or the "sexier" style, but because she "felt" it and I don't think he did. I think he spends too much time in his head, trying to imagine what it should "feel" like.
He does write some good lyrics though.

I don't particularly like his stuff either, just the one song. As a matter of fact, that is one of the few times I bought a cd merely for one song. The rest of the stuff on the cd is quite ordinary -- almost vanilla.
