Still insisting that Gore was elected?

She never said that, Tico.

Evidence abounds that he never should have been president. In point of fact he wasn't, he was a mere poseur, an empty-minded body that drifted through 8 years with the support of "people" like you.

I've never insisted that Gore was elected. I think GW was out of his league and should never have even run for president, much less been elected. But it's over now.

It's true that it's over with this George Bush.

So when will George P Bush get elected?

Just a matter of time, I guess. Well, at least he seems to be preparing himself.

When? Never.

Just as George W. Bush was Dubya, this one will be Pee, and that just won't fly.

LOL. I had a response that was something like "nobody named Pee Bush can get elected", but then I deleted it.

So the correct answer is, when Pee flies.

People overseas, like me, wonder at the American electoral process. Is it really fit for its purpose?

Plenty of commentators have remarked that, faced with a final choice between G W Bush and Al Gore, it is not.

The Bush admin. botched the distribution of vouchers to people who needed TV converters. (There are about 6.5 M people who will have no TV come next month, absent a converter.) To compound this, the Reps just voted down, for spurious reasons, extending the conversion deadline.

This may not be a publicity boon to the Reps.
