Questioner- Of course I don't mind. How did you do THAT? It is great!
I just took your image into photoshop and duplicated it, flipping the image around 45 degrees. Then played with the layer opacity a bit and leveled it out.
Aha! I have had Photoshop for awhile, as well as a big book on Photoshop. I have never mastered the program, though. Now you have given me an incentive!
Here's a link with great step-by-step information on how to do many interesting things in Photoshop. If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to provide answers. Have fun!
I really like the top one. It reminds me a lot of a certain painting.... but off of the top of my head I can't remember which one. I'll have to think on it.
The story reminds me of a time I when I had turned my back on photography and lived next door to one of the world's true eccentrics. He plastered his house with signs - signs about all sorts of things. On my way to work each morning I would walk past and read his mind. His entire house was covered with words.
To this day I could cut my throat for never having made his portrait.
OK, I won't keep you all in suspense. It is a part of a manhole cover, that is on the sidewalk. The light stuff is probably grains of sand left by people walking over the cover.
Ok, it's simple, (I'm not a pro either  ), go to the photoshop and choose label image => adjustments => auto level. That way, it looks better. Report when you try.
