There you go.

Doesn't that look just like you at one of the A2K gatherings? Tossing out the come-hither look to wandel?

I don't know.... I saw it.

I will trade you a shoe box full of chipmunks if you will send me a koala. Chipmunks eat my strawberries by taking one bite and then throwing the rest over their shoulder to rot in my garden paths.

Hi Kris. How you keeping?

By the way, would you happen to know if power levels are adjustable within a digital camera? The Canon that I have seems to do funny things after a few days of freshly recharging 4 AA batteries. The batteries, when checked, are practically showing near full charge.

The camera behaves like the charge is depleted in the batteries and shuts itself off and telling me to recharge the batteries. Sad

I don't know anything helpful about that, Reyn. Sorry!

reyn, do you have regular batteries or photo batteries (as in AAs that they make for cameras)? The photo ones last much longer. regular rechargable batteries tend to be too weak - hence the frequent change, and they don't charge up as well either.

Sounds like they have a memory problem. NiCads were very bad about that. Lithium ion are supposed to be way better. You might revive the old ones by slowly, but completely discharging them before recharging.

That's okay, thanks, and hope you're doing good.

They're regular NiCad rechargeables, I believe. I didn't know that they had special ones for cameras. Thanks!

Okay, good, sounds like that's the way to go. I imagine that those ion ones are way more expensive, too?

Well, I have 3 sets of 4 AA batteries (2 Duracells and 1 Panasonic). I'll run them into the ground and then check into something as you suggest. I'm just glad it's not the camera, itself. It was quite pricey, along with all the doodads I got along with it (about 2 years ago now).

Thanks all for your help!

Okay, sorry, but upon checking, they're not NiCAD, as I thought they were, but rather NiMH batteries. Are they any better?

The old ones still work okay, but the camera only seems to recognize that they're fully charged until they're fresh out of the charger.

I gave up using rechargeable batteries for my camera, now I just buy 8-pack AA batteries (Duracell, I think)
