Messy mansions are comfortable for me. What makes me nervous are tidy places.

I can picture that, Thomas, very funny.
I often order just the appetizers as my meal. It can be disconcerting for others..
especially at some pretensioso dining establishments.

I bought a commercial jar of yellow thai curry sauce last week. Bletch. I'm still going to have to learn how to cook it myself. Not so hard, I think, but just the getting of my act together can daunt.

Thanks for finding those pictures, Jes!
The medal was for 2nd in my age category (60-69).
Just goes to show most men my age have enough sense to stay in out of the rain.

Just a quick shoutout: The next Artisani park race is approaching, and will happen Sunday in a week. Any ideas for hanging out before or after the race?

Quinn/Cass said she might come up too, but she doesn't know yet.

Ha, Sunday looks like showers (see 02135 on www.weather.com) and it's a 60% chance. Another wet 5K!

The upside to this means we should be able to get parking, this won't be as big a fundraiser as the Good Sams' one was. The Messy Mansion remains nearby as a gathering together place if necessary, and it is as messy as ever (different boxes).

Yay! Another run in the rain! Good news about the parking lots though.

Littlek, have fun at the soccer game.

Good evening! A run in the rain. Delightful.
I just wanted to drop in to mention that Cicerone Imposter and his wife will be in Philadelphia from something like 11/10 to 11/14.
I am going to catch the new Amtrak train from Cville on Friday 11/13 and hook up with them and Farmerman for dinner.
It is not being billed as an A2K event. Rather, Tak authorized me to issue an invite to yall in the NE to join us. It is rare for him to come this far east. PM him for updates if interested.

Since you're all in the neigborhood, I thought it would be possible for some of you to join us in Philly. My wife and I are staying at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park. If you plan to come, please let us know. We still haven't picked the venue, and the numbers coming will determine where we can have a meet. If you're planning to come, I'll send you a PM with our cellphone number.

The new Cambridge library, which Kris had a whole thread about, is scheduled to open for business for all this Sunday, 11/8, from 2-5 pm, anyone for a meetup there?

Sounds interesting. I assume the runners will have lunch after the race, and you're all welcome to join us. But the library opening sounds like a nice venue to visit afterward. I'm interested.
