Pssst, Bostonions -- any new developments on the plan? So far, the two best options seem to be (in chronological order)

1) Saturday the 16th, sometime before 8 pm. (Problem: Username can't come.)

2) Monday the 25th, evening (Problem: Dasha isn't sure if she can come.)

Do we go with one of these dates? If not, what better alternatives do we have? I'm asking because if it's going to be Saturday, I'd like to start looking for a place to sleep.

you have about 2 weeks to make it to a real one. after that it's all gonna be just watered down.

25th makes more sense. on 16th i'll be running around and cooking, i have a friend from slovakia here and a bunch of friends are coming over to help me cook. so i wouldn't be very social.

then again, i really can't promise anything on 25th either, it's a 50/50 at this point...it being just a few days before leaving.

Alright, pencilling in the 25th. Worst case, I'll get to talk about Dasha behind her back, which is already good enough.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make either of those dates. I plan to be in Hawaii for the next two weeks. Have fun, all. Bon voyage, Dasha!

I used to frequent that joint - when I lived near the area and was young and crazy.

great food, great service, reasonable prices.

the key to avoiding the crowds is to go at odd times.
we usually go for an early sunday dinner ~ 4 or 5pm.

don't bother going friday or saturday night -- unless your thing is a room full of drunk Bahstinians... Mr. Green

Monday after work would be perfect for me. That way I could drive home at night, and maybe meet joefromchicago in New York for lunch. That wouldn't have been an option if I'd had to travel home Tuesday morning.

If that's not preferred, elsewhere is fine -- but we should be getting to place consensus now, I'm thinking.

it ain't cheap, but it's Right There Smile

I'll be coming from work Mon. night, I imagine others will be, too.

6? 6:30? 7? I cannot get to bed too late; I have serious back to the wall stuff going on at work and the day after el gathering I have dental surgery (oof).

6-7 pm seems optimal to me, too.

Jespah: Dental surgery sounds awful! Will you be able to eat that evening?
